Many dogs suffer from separation anxiety. When left alone dogs with separation anxiety may destroy furniture and whine and bark incessantly. In such a scenario, once again the familiar surroundings of his crate will help to ease the anxiety while keeping your furniture intact at the same time.

Most puppies will whine or bark during the first few days of being put in their crate. Once they begin to accept this new restriction on their freedom, they quiet down and actually learn to enjoy it. Growing puppies need to alternate between periods of activity and rest throughout the day.

What you want to do here is to take puppies attention away with your voice, and stop playing with them for a while. Repeat this method several times and they will soon learn that nobody want to play with them when they start to bite.

The journey is exciting and can be very satisfying for both you and your dog, keeping in mind the puppy developmental stages, enjoy your puppy while he is a puppy, because as with children, the time passes way too fast and then they are grown up!
