The Boston Terrier is one of the most highly intelligent breeds around. They have also been known for being sensitive to the atmosphere of their environment. Boston Terrier puppy training is not hard at all due to this breeds ability to easily pick up on tricks and tasks.

An important thing to remember about this breed is that you need to practice socialization from the moment that they come home. These dogs can become very hostile around people if they are not used to being around a crowd. The more you introduce them to new people the friendlier they will be.

You need to obtain a crate that is just big enough for your dog to be comfortable, but not large enough for the puppy to use the bathroom in the corner. Take them out both before and after the crate and eventually they will learn that they need to go outside. This method is a great way of teaching your puppy without using scare tactics which will not work.

Training your dog obedience: You will want your dog to obey your every command and the only way this is possible is by teaching them to be obedient. This training involves consistency and patience. You need to use the same constant commands and give your dog plenty of encouragement for doing what they are told. Treats can be given as reward and lots of love is required.

Training the puppy to behave: You will not want to have a dog that tends to jump on the furniture or people when they are not supposed to. Behavioral training is the best way to keep them from doing those things. Use the same reward methods that you used with the obedience training and you will find that your dog is listening in no time.
