Only Nine Brands of Dog Food Make The Best Dog Food Brands Report

Only Nine Brands of Dog Food Make The Best Dog Food Brands Report

by Michael Considine

Smart pet parents know that the food the feed their dogs have more to do with their overall health. That is why they are searching for the best dog food brands.Finding the best dog food brand should be as simple as reading the ingredients on the label.

It would be simple if that was true, but unless you can decipher the code used by the pet food industry, I'm afraid you're going to fail.

There are many people telling us healthy food to eat, but it's a lot more difficult to find good information on a healthy diet for our pets.

The trouble here is that pet food producers are allowed to incorporate ingredients that are not for human consumption in their foods. In fact, they can even use left over by-products and call them healthy sounding names to fool you into thinking they are good for you pet!

You would think if you seen dried egg product listed as an ingredients in your dog food that that would be a healthy thing. I reality it can include undeveloped eggs, shells and other tissues deemed unfit for human use.

One of the most in lighting things I did find while looking for the best dog food brands was a list of 68 ingredients that if you find any of them in your dog food you should stop feeding that food. 28 of these 68 are actually deadly ingredients, and why they won't kill your dog today, they will shorten her life considerably.

I have also seen a report done by an independent tester about the best dog food brands. I have been asked not to reprint or reproduce this writing as it is protected by copyright .

What I can tell you is after looking at every brand of dog food in North America they only found 9 that made the list of the best dog food brands, based on being healthy selections.

27 brands didn't make the list after consideration, and there are some big names that didn't make it. Product brands such as Iams, Science Diet and Eukanuba were not included on the list.

On account of the stated reasons, six brands were eliminated from this second report. The report gives details about the pros and cons of every brand.

Because of my finding of what goes into commercially made dog food, I now feed my dogs a homemade dog food diet. Even knowing what I know there are times that it is just easier to open a bag and pour some food, but I refuse to compromise the health of my dogs. That is why I continued to do research until I found a reliable source for the best dog food brands to supplement my homemade food. - 20511
